Woman. 40 years old. Zodiac sign: Sagittarius.
Looking for: man. In age: 37-47
Despite working in the Sales and Marketing profession, I struggle to market myself personally on this site. This is my first venture into this type of dating platform, so please bear with me. :)I am an independent, confident, career-minded woman. Over the past several years, I've chosen my priorities - my son and my career.-based company, with it's North America headquarters located in Reading, PA. I am in my 18th year with the company and sincerely love what I do. Travel is a real passion of mine, and with "North America" as my territory, this job has certainly afforded me the opportunity to explore. I am also a single parent to a 16 year-old young man. He's a high-school junior, avid soccer player, and a member of the local JROTC, aspiring to enlist in the U.S. Marine Corps. I am self-sufficient, and own my home, so I haven't felt the need to make finding someone to compliment my life a real priority. Turning 40 has made me re-evaluate my thinking. :) I do miss the companionship and the feeling that I belong to someone, and I am looking for someone who will appreciate me for the genuine person I am, as well as for my accomplishments both professionally, and as a single parent. I'd love to find someone who feels as lucky to be with me as I do to be with them. While I continue to focus on my career, all the success in the world isn't going to mean anything without having someone special to love and share it with. The late night bar scene as a regular activity does not interest me, but I could still enjoy a great dance club every once in a while. I can take my son fishing, then throw on my heels to meet friends to check out a new restaurant or see a live band. I am also always up for a day/night at a sports bar to catch a football or baseball game, or a soccer match. There is also nothing wrong with spending a night in, or on a picnic with a bottle of wine somewhere by the water. I love to cook and entertain, but I could use someone to help me perfect my grilling skills! In summary, I'm pretty much up for anything! As long as there are smiles, laughter, and good company, it's time well spent. I am a big believer that your appearance is a real representation of who you are and the way you approach other aspects of your life. I am not high maintenance, but I do take pride in how I present myself. It's also important to me that the person I am with feels proud when we walk into a room together. I would hope that person feels similarly about themselves, as well. Just to note, my favorite look for a guy for a night out is jeans with a sport coat and dress shoes. :) So, I suppose this wouldn't be complete without mentioning what I'm looking for in a partner: honesty, loyalty, respect, compassion, romance, pride in yourself, the ability to make time for fun as a couple, and have a desire to find that one special person. If you are just looking for a date for tonight, a woman to support you, if you've not been completely honest in your profile, haven't decided on a direction for your life, need to be the center of attention, or can't appreciate the value of a true partnership, please do not try to contact me. My apologies for being a little harsh and direct, but I don't want to waste your time, either. So, how did I do? If there is anything else you'd like to know, please feel free to ask.I look forward to hearing from you! Casual dinner, drinks, coffee, live music, a walk in the park...any would be great. Honestly, I'm not hard to please. :)

Woman. 38 years old. Zodiac sign: Aries.
Looking for: man. In age: 35-45
I am a fun-loving person who loves going out on the town or relaxing at home with good friends, my family, or hopefully, the right person. The big picture is that I am a teacher, a musician and an intellectual thinker. The smaller details are that no matter what I am doing , whether it is listening to live music, going on a hike, watching a movie, staying in and snuggling or going out to a favorite restaurant, I love spending time with people who enjoy life...a good laugh, a beautiful sunset, a great song, a choice bottle of red wine, or something delicious. I would like to meet someone who I connect with and can talk easily with. Do you know those conversations that you start and an hour goes by without you noticing? That's what I hope to find. A perfect first date would start out at a restaurant with great music and delicious food where we could sit with a glass of wine, some appetizers, and comfortable conversation. After spending some time getting to know each other and laughing about the stories of our lives, we would take a walk by the river or sit on the grass staring at the stars. Who knows where the time will go...

Updated *********Me:I have a job.I love the water.I love animals.I love the outdoors.I enjoy doing things - the zoo, the beach, going to the park.I enjoy spending time with my kid, I truly think he is a pretty neat guy.I'm a bit of a smarta$$ but sometimes it takes some time to see this side of me.I enjoy the little things in life.I take the road less traveled.I enjoy learning.I like sports, especially football.I've been called a nerd by a few :)I'm very laid back...I don't sweat the small stuff.I'm worth itI'm attracted to a nice smile and great eyes but if you have a great heart, you become much better looking to me.I'm very forgiving.I have morals.I respect myself. You:Have a jobHave a vehicleHave your own placeLike kidsBe confident - this includes being able to make decisions - like asking a girl on a date and planning it :)Have a sense of humorEnjoy being outdoorsEnjoy sports....or be open to watching a ball game here and there.Enjoy doing the little thingsBe open to getting to know me by asking questions. Also being able to spell is good in my book, or at least use the resources available to you. **Hint** if it has a little red squiggly when you type the word out on your profile, the word is misspelled. It helps if you know the difference between to, too and two & their, there and they'reDon't fall of the face of the Earth - if you aren't interested, talking to someone else, not over the ex or are married - man up and let me know. I promise I am not psycho...just let me know. It is called common courtesy.Do the little things....like random texts just to say hey.Be able to put a sentence together, I probably won't respond if you just say "Hi" or "hey!"Smile and be able to laugh at yourself.A good time to me is hanging out with the family and friends by the pool with some adult beverages, some good grub and a little music. If you aren't emotionally ready for a relationship or don't have the time to invest, please don't contact me. Also, if you don't believe in the "golden rule" don't bother. I'm disappointed in so many I have met and have invested in only to have you fall off the face of the Earth. It's called common courtesy along with respect. Obviously you have something going on in your life but at least man up and let a girl know - it's not that hard to say "hey, I'm busy" or "f* off", "hey, I met someone and I want to see where it leads"....or "hey, my wife found out that I'm on this site....and I'm in deep $hit" - ya know....I am a big girl and I can handle it and I'm not going to go all bat$hit crazy on you...but have some cajones and man up and tell it like it is.If you find that you want to talk to me - please do more than just say "hi" - I have listed a few of my interests and I really hope that you have some interests also - it might help if we had some of the same interests. I hate being negative but come on guys - it's not that difficult.I will have to say it is very difficult for me to respond back to an e-mail if you don't make an effort in yours. Acknowledge something I said in my e-mail and/or ask questions. First date - hmmm.... I dunno - someplace that we could talk. Maybe meet at the park and have a picnic. Take the frisbee to toss around and then go for a walk - or a quiet restaraunt. Pretty much somewhere that is easy to communicate. Maybe the zoo - I sooo love the zoo. I am just a big kid at heart!I am leary about the internet dating thing and I have a son to worry about. I would like to talk via e-mail to get the "basics" out of the way and then talk on the phone for a bit before I will meet anyone in person.
