Bright eyed and bubbly nature girl seeks her masculine match!It's a Wonderful Life! That's my favorite movie and (most of the time) that's truly how I feel about my life. I am blessed with work that I enjoy and that supports me, family and friends who I cherish, and a house and garden that I love. I think my friends would describe me as a good listener, who is also very well spoken, a confident, upbeat person, and a caring and giving friend.A typical Capricorn, I am ambitious, hard working, cautious and practical. I have high standards and I love the finer things in life, but I also love to cut loose and have fun! I feel as comfortable in an evening gown on a cruise ship as I do in muddy jeans in my garden, and have been in both this past year! I feel in life that Attitude is (almost) Everything, and hard work goes a long way. I strive to be positive and kind in thought and action every day.I am a strong, modern, independent woman who loves old things - antiques, old houses and old fashioned respectful people. I expect to be treated with respect and like a lady always and won't accept any less. Although I'm a strong woman who can and does support and take care of myself, it doesn't mean I don't want a strong man in my life who can and will be there for me and take care of me too. I love the outdoors and am passionate about birds and gardening. I own a charming old house, that is actually in pretty good shape, that I am constantly working on, or having work done to. When I am in "my happy place", that usually means I'm in Lowe's buying something for my latest home or garden project. Other activities that I love include Cross Country Skiing and Kayaking. I bought new touring ski's several years ago, and I also bought a Kayak that I can lift and transport to the lakes by myself. So, as you can probably tell, I am no couch potato and I'm not looking for a partner who is. That's not to say I don't enjoy a quiet evening inside watching a movie, or sitting in front of a fire with a glass of wine, but I am generally a person who likes to get out and do things.My other passions are music and travel. I love many different kinds of music from Rock to Country, Alternative to Ska and Reggae to Jazz. I recently started taking drum lessons once a week. I love it and look forward to practicing and hopefully getting better and better.I love the Finger Lakes Region, and I really enjoy spending time at the lakes kayaking at a friends cottage, or going to the wineries. I love cooking, (and being cooked for!), eating, and trying different wines and even different beers! Traveling is another passion and I try to take several trips per year. (So if I don't respond right away I might be away!) I am looking for a partner who has similar passions and a compatible lifestyle. Eating healthy is very important to me. My partner must be healthy in mind, body, and spirit. I have no room for negativity, addictions, or any type of controlling, dishonest or bad behavior in my life. The only type of drama I enjoy is on the screen or stage. I would love to find a strong, confident man who has his act together and who isn't all about himself. Someone who loves to be active outdoors, but who also appreciates the arts and enjoys some of the finer things in life. Someone who is genuinely interested in me and my life. He should be smart, funny, adventurous, spontaneous, and thoughtful with a generous spirit. I am looking for someone who is physically and emotionally available. Above all, he must be honest, positive, respectful and kind to myself and to others. Is it too much to hope for? Being the positive-minded person that I am, I don't think so!
