About Me

Aha, caught you looking! This is a long profile, but hopefully it will prove useful to you.(I feel like a bit of a yo- How soon, I really couldn't say.)The *** I have a lot of passions. My steady sense of wonder and awe is what makes me feel alive. I like hearing a good bass line on the highway with the top down, I talk to my cats (who couldn't care less), and I live for good cackles with good friends. I love the look of a trim man in a t-shirt and jeans. I like letting a salamander climb up my arm (but can you be the one to take the spiders outside?), and I tend to jump in the ocean when I spot any dolphins. I dig discussions/Scrabble in diners, but prefer to read books and write letters outside. I have a huge music library and love something from most every genre (ok, no yodeling, sorry). I've got a nice evening gown...got a tux, anyone? In terms of how I am in relationships, I'm open, and I do talk about stuff when it comes up, cause I'm no mind reader and I don't expect you to be! But I don't want "the talk" every five minutes, either (yikes!). I'm emotionally vital but am analytical and philosophical about things. Shy underneath, I have an extroverted style, and I put people at ease. I try my best to understand rather than judge others. It just seems to work better to accept and be curious about others rather than to wait for them to meet our personal expectations, right? I'm holding out for the right intellectual, emotional and physical chemistry. I'd love to meet someone who's observant and curious and can find the humor in most situations. He's healthy and fit, understands himself very well, sees the value of sharing his feelings, and has a sound moral compass that jives with my own. Like me, he likes his space and doesn't require someone to complete him or to "always be loving life" (I keep seeing this here: do people really expect this? Are we all living on the same planet? Life is complicated!). A love of nature and innate kindness are also way up there for me. Oh, and I want an equal who gives a great foot massage (don't we all?).Please have recent photos, and only contact me if you are single, widowed or fully divorced, having had enough time to heal...please do your own thing, but we will not be a match. Also, if you are looking for "your princess" or someone to spoil, well let's just say I am not right for you at all! First, I tend to prefer a couple of ***, then to speak on the phone and see whether we want to meet. Then maybe something casual, non-pressured, maybe a walk by the water, coffee...no etchings right away, though, please >:)

My life is cake.. I am looking for the frosting..I have a terrific life and would love to find someone to share it with. My kids are fantastic, my friends are the best and now I am ready to have a great guy to call my own. What is he like? Smart, funny and secure.. And since this is My wish list, tall, clean cut and HWP too please. He looks good cleaned up and probably even better after a few days in the woods. We all have baggage but hopefully his is of the carry-on variety, not the 4-piece matching set variety. Now for some deal breakers: Distance.. Please be somewhat local.. I have done the long distance thing and it doesn't work for me. If you have anger issues, control issues or jealousy issues, please pass me by. Ditto if you are still married.. Jeez, do I really have to say that? Also, please don't expect me to respond if you don't have pictures on your profile. Sorry..On the positive side, I look good in jeans or a little black dress. I am comfortable in a dive bar shooting pool or at your company function. I can start a fire, love college football (LSU!!) and the Yankees. I can cook and love to entertain in my home. My friends would tell you that I am smart, funny and the party starts when I arrive. I am not a gym rat, but I do enjoy being active. I am sure there are other things I should mention, but this is a start. Interested? Something quick and public.. Coffee? Happy hour?

I believe communication is a big part of getting to know someone and even tho texting is a nice way to communicate, I feel it's taken a way getting to really know someone by really taking to a person. With that being said here's a little about me. I am hoping to find someone who loves country music and concerts as much I do, And please have a job!I enjoy traveling, taking pictures, trying new things, I am very social, I also enjoy going to concerts professional and amateur, love to meet new friends, but I cherish my old ones.. I am very easy going, drama is not a part of my life, I will walk away from an argument, life is to short to let small things get in your way of your happiness. I hate being around people who are always negative, with so much positive in this world. One more thing I truly think that you decide your own happiness, no matter what's going on in your life, it doesn't give you the right to be disrespectful to other people, we all have problems we have to solve daily.... but life is precious and that's what we need to see..I lost my husband/best-friend of 30 years to Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), he was sick less than 3 weeks, this is why I say live everyday like its your last, because you just never know. I am not looking for someone to replace him, I am looking for someone to help me open up the next chapter in my(our) life, one day at a time, not ready to rush into a full relationship at this time, just want someone to hangout with and to have fun with, get on the open road and just take that chance, hold hands and walk down the beach or the sidewalk together. My motto is: "If You Can't Change it, Don't Claim it" "Born Free"I will bow to shining seasAnd celebrate God's grace on me! ""
