Yea, I am an old maid, but I Am still not willing to settle. Lol. I have not felt like dealing with dating for a while. Not because I am bitter, but just because i haven't felt like doing the whole get to know you thing. It usually is either like pulling teeth to really get to know someone or you think you get to know them just to find out they were not being themselves. It is just exhausting. I wish someone great would just fall in my lap, lol, but since that hasn't happened, I guess I should start putting forth a little effort! :) I need a man who can take care of me when I need it, but who will also allow himself to be taken care of. Actually, I don't NEED a man, I just Want one lol. I know everyone says they are honest, and how important honesty is to them, but I see no point in lies. No point in games. We are adults, and as adults, we should be able to handle the truth. I respect someone who is honest.Even if it is not something I necessarily want to hear, in the end, I can't fault someone who has been truthful.I do not stay mad long, if you make me mad, but if you lie to me, I have no tolerance for that. This goes both ways. I am a very honest person, and it takes someone special to be able to handle that.Most people say they want honesty, but in reality, most people are neither open minded nor understanding enough to deal with it.Attraction is a personal preference. I do not expect everyone to find me attractive, and I am not going to be attracted to everyone. For me, you have to not make my stomach turn when I look at you, but more importantly, I have to feel like we would get along. That our senses of humor mesh well (mine is very sarcastic and sometimes crude, lol), and that I can hold easy flowing, relaxed conversations with you. I know we are all here to meet someone (some for different reasons), but I am amazed at the amount of people who get their underwear in a wad because i do not want their phone number or to meet them just because they said hello. I want someone who understands and appreciates the fact that I am pickier than perhaps I have a right to be, and thinks it is a good thing that I do not talk to or meet every single person who sends me an *** i am pretty. I would think that is a good thing!!!! Who wants someone who "gets around" like that! As an intelligent adult, I am not naive enough to think that whoever is *** is not also ***+ other women. It is my job to make them want to stop talking to all those other women and concentrate on me.....If you want my undivided attention.....earn it!!!! LOL just some advice,though, I am not one to fall for BS, so don't waste your time trying to throw it at me. I will simply laugh at it, because I find it funny, and the only time that is a benefit to you is if you are saying it to purposely be funny!I am not a small girl, so I do not want a man I feel like I can beat up, lol. The typical first date is dinner and a movie. That's fine, but I think a first date should be somewhere that you can talk and really start to get to know someone. People also are usually a little nervous on first dates, and you don't always see the real them. I like to go somewhere like "dave and Buster's" where you can't help but be yourself because the kid in you comes out. You see the more relaxed and fun side of somebody. Don't get me wrong, a nice romantic date is great too though!
