About Me

Hello. I spent my adult life traveling through 50 countries and had some interesting adventures and met some wonderful people along the way.Like most people, I can’t be defined by what I do/have done for a living. My resume is, well, strange. I’ve done things that I’; like running bars and businesses in difficult environments. I’ve done things that I loved to do in order to “give back”; like running English classes and fund-raising campaigns. I’ve done things that I never thought were possible, so that I could be challenged and grow;…and discovered that, as in life, I am not much of a distance runner. I like to use my head and my hands at work and enjoy my new career as a massage therapist but still love my creative outlet of piñata making!My bucket list, that I started 15 years ago, keeps me motivated and is constantly evolving. A few years ago I managed to cross ‘SNOWBOARD’ off my list, which promptly had me add ‘SNOWBOARD AND LIKE IT.’ Still working on that one. It was my list that brought me to stare in awe at the Taj Mahal, to jump out of a plane, and to sing Karaoke. And it was the realization that some things are better shared that spurred me to add ‘LOVE’ back onto my list. Finally.Some important things to know about me: I’m easily bored and need challenge in my life. I’m not good with groups…or Capricorns.I’m attracted to big, strong men who are witty and wise.Every day I want to better myself and try to surround myself with like-minded people. I think before going through the awkwardness of a first date talking on the phone is a good idea...and an almost obsolete art form.

    I am pretty outgoing. I like to stay busy doing something usually out of the house. I don't watch tv or get into sports. I sing and I play percussion in a concert band. I also enjoy a little dancing, going to concerts, listening to a band, playing pool, bowling. I enjoy museums and musicals. I'm very girlie girl. I already have my Associates and graduated Summa Cum Laude so I definitely apply myself and take my education seriously. My family is large and very close. We have a lot of family days hanging out at my parents. My extended family is huge and also very close. I work full time days during the week. I have my kids full time, they stay with their dad every other weekend. My daughter is 17, a senior in high school and works part time. My son is 12, a 6th grader. My kids have the same dad and we were together for 16 years. I have worked full time since ***, done all my school while working full time with a family. I have my own place, a car, and a car for my daughter. I started young yes, but I have my sh*t together and always have. I don't have all the fancy stuff but I have enough to get by. I am looking for a man at least my age, maybe a few years older than me that has children and that can tolerate music. I perform in auditorium style band concerts a few times a year. DTE is ok but really i get uncomfortable around drunk, high idiots. Singing is a huge plus. I love karaoke!!! I don't drink or smoke, but I do go to karaoke bars. Easy going, go with the flow but outgoing personality is a good fit with me. I take my time to get to know someone. I prefer to message here for a while and see if there is a mutual interest. I like a guy to plan a date and ask me out, something in public where we can just get to know each other. Doesn't need to be fancy or expensive, I am actually a fairly cheap date. However, I am not easy. Don't expect a kiss on a first date, and please if you are not capable of keeping your hands to yourself then find someone else to feel up.     My mother once told me that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach . . . and that's why I became a great cook. Simply put, I am a very passionate person. About me, I am a fun loving laid back type of girl who enjoys spending time with family and friends. I have known all of my friends since at least high school, if not grammar school. Several of them are happily married or in long term relationships and they are all family to me. We get together often and have an absolute blast – doesn’t matter if we are playing a board game or just relaxing and basking in the sun. I love to laugh and enjoy being around positive, energetic people. I can be goofy at times and will go out on a limb by trying karaoke (warning I am not a great singer), playing Rock Band (I am an excellent drummer), or being silly with my nieces and nephews (I've let my niece dress me up a few times and she just had to post it on *** :)). I have found that some men can't handle that, but that's why I am here! :) I have put myself through college three times now, own my own home, and just landed a new job with an awesome e-discovery vendor. I do live a very active lifestyle and keep it healthy by eating properly and working out. I love the feeling after a great workout. Let me say, I do work hard and play hard. Lastly, I have a 21-year old son who is a Lance Corporal with the Marine Corps and frankly I would not be who or where I am in life without him. He is truly an inspiration. I must add, I do not mind dating someone with children as I was a single mom at one time; and if you can’t tell by now I enjoy being with kids. As far as relationships, I believe that the little things really do count. Love, romance, and just enjoying each others company - doing special little things for each other. I do believe life-long love is out there! I guess I am a romantic. I am looking for companionship with the hopes of it turning into something long term. I pair best with a fun loving romantic partner, who shares most of the interests I have. I am looking for that inexplicable chemistry that cannot be summed up in just a few words. I am looking for an outgoing man with a positive and energetic side who also enjoys staying active, working out and taking care of himself. Appearance is a huge deal to me, and it should also be for him. I do place a lot of value on a person's word. I was raised to believe that you shouldn't make promises you can't keep and this is a huge pet peeve of mine so if you are into being a yes man and then later back pedaling, then please move on and not waste either of our time. I think that compliments my traditional attitude. I feel that the man should lead, protect, and provide but also know how to respect a good woman. You must be stable, unattached, not going through a divorce, and just drama free. I am and have actually achieved quite a balance in my life as a result.
