My mother once told me that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach . . . and that's why I became a great cook. Simply put, I am a very passionate person. About me, I am a fun loving laid back type of girl who enjoys spending time with family and friends. I have known all of my friends since at least high school, if not grammar school. Several of them are happily married or in long term relationships and they are all family to me. We get together often and have an absolute blast – doesn’t matter if we are playing a board game or just relaxing and basking in the sun. I love to laugh and enjoy being around positive, energetic people. I can be goofy at times and will go out on a limb by trying karaoke (warning I am not a great singer), playing Rock Band (I am an excellent drummer), or being silly with my nieces and nephews (I've let my niece dress me up a few times and she just had to post it on *** :)). I am always up for a challenge - I thrive on competition but am no sore loser. Caution: I am an ambitious, career-oriented, and stable woman. I have found that some men can't handle that, but that's why I am here! :) I have put myself through college three times now, own my own home, and just landed a new job with an awesome e-discovery vendor. I do live a very active lifestyle and keep it healthy by eating properly and working out. I love the feeling after a great workout. Let me say, I do work hard and play hard. I know how to let loose and indulge a little! That’s probably why the summer is my favorite time of the year. Love the summer - I love to be close an affectionate with my significant other. I am really the outdoors type and so I travel and camp often! I am just as comfortable kicking back at home watching a movie or getting all dressed up for a night on the town. Lastly, I have a 21-year old son who is a Lance Corporal with the Marine Corps and frankly I would not be who or where I am in life without him. He is truly an inspiration. I must add, I do not mind dating someone with children as I was a single mom at one time; and if you can’t tell by now I enjoy being with kids. As far as relationships, I believe that the little things really do count. Love, romance, and just enjoying each others company - doing special little things for each other. I do believe life-long love is out there! I guess I am a romantic. I am looking for companionship with the hopes of it turning into something long term. I pair best with a fun loving romantic partner, who shares most of the interests I have. I am looking for that inexplicable chemistry that cannot be summed up in just a few words. I am looking for an outgoing man with a positive and energetic side who also enjoys staying active, working out and taking care of himself. Appearance is a huge deal to me, and it should also be for him. I do place a lot of value on a person's word. I was raised to believe that you shouldn't make promises you can't keep and this is a huge pet peeve of mine so if you are into being a yes man and then later back pedaling, then please move on and not waste either of our time. I think that compliments my traditional attitude. I feel that the man should lead, protect, and provide but also know how to respect a good woman. You must be stable, unattached, not going through a divorce, and just drama free. I am and have actually achieved quite a balance in my life as a result. Well if you think you fit this description, I would be happy to hear from you! A quick drink at a reasonable hour to see if the chemistry is there. I am sorry but as a woman who must take precautions meeting you at your house is out of the question. I really think that text and *** out of control. A first meeting or date should be preceded by some telephone conversation just to get a feel for the person.
