I'm a hard working career-minded girl thats also pretty laid back and low maintenance. Im big on working out and keeping healthy and looking for someone that has similar goals and ideals. Being healthy and driven is a must. I think people must know, at least somewhat, of what they want for themselves before they meet someone else and expect them to be able to fulfill those needs. With that said, I am at a point where I would like to meet someone who, well.. has their sh$& together. All the ducks don't need to be in a row, but you at least know that there are ducks, and have a general idea how to make a duck call to bring them in. I'm also a pretty outspoken and confident person and find these qualities attractive in a man as well. While I can dress up for a night out, I am not at all a girly girl. I am very fortunate to have an amazing job working for a non-profit where I not only get to be around inspiring people but also help make a difference in the world. I also do triathlons, marathons, love yoga, hiking, backpacking, (pretty much any outdoor activity) and try to travel to a new country every year.While I have the utmost respect for the members of our military, I am not interested in being a military girlfriend. I have lived that lifestyle and while I respect it, it's not for me. Going out, staying in, planning a trip, cooking dinner, or drinking a bottle of wine. All of these are much more enjoyable with a good partner. Life is for sharing. I work to travel, period. I love my career but, traveling is what really fills my cup. My "been to" list is very short, however I am making up for lost time and my goal is to fill up my passport before it expires. I use the Lonely Planet as my guide. My two other passions are food and wine. I have taken wine courses and I am a sponge for wine knowledge. Food is a part of my career and my life. I love to cook, bring people together over a meal and discuss recipes with fellow foodies. As I am in the events industry and go to a number of events throughout the year. I love the theater very much, and would like to go more often. I can be a bit of an indoor cat sometimes however, I do get out and go camping, fishing, I love beaches; I also like golfing, and a picnic in the park. Although I don't hike mountains, I think they are lovely and I love driving though them. My idea of a mountain getaway is a wonderful hotel with amazing food and a comfortable room with a view of the mountains or a really good camping spot (preferably one you drive into not hike into). The other thing I enjoy in the mountains is some skiing and I would like to get better at it. Last season I never left the bunny hill, very funny story about this. Somewhat independent, although I get really frustrated with technology. I have frequent battles with anything that has to be programed. I still have a VHS player and absolutely refuse to give it up. Friends say I am effervescent, animated, energetic, compassionate, confident, and considerate individual. I am also a bit of a geek; I organize and participate in a book club. I will often be caught with my nose in a book, or found in Fair's Fair finding something new to read. I buy books wherever I travel and always have an overweight bag due to purchased books (very costly by the way).
