I'm a perpetually curious, adventurous and free-thinking intellectual with a hedonistic streak. I try to always do or experience something new each day. I love to travel every chance I get, especially internationally, since there is always more to experience--I am feeling some major wanderlust right now. I'm real and genuine, loyal to a fault and independent, but I understand the value of compromise. With each year that passes, more and more I feel like life is too short to waste on b.s. so let's just tell it like it is.I enjoy savoring the finer things in life, which are mostly simple and not necessarily expensive--good food, conversation, and company, preferably involving art and/or a beautiful outdoor setting. Friends and family are very important to me and I feel that no matter how busy life may get we always need to make time to connect with the people we love.My friends would say that I'm quirky, have a great sense of humor, and a big heart. I prefer having a few close friends, the kind who you can be totally yourself with and say anything to without judgment, versus a bunch of tertiary acquaintances who are more shallow-type friends. Being connected to my spirituality is very important to me, but I do not equate spirituality with religion or any one particular religion, although I was raised Catholic. I find beauty and elements of truth in almost all religions. I'm looking for a gentleman who is kind, intelligent, genuine, down-to-earth, spiritual, open-minded and into clean living (no drugs/smoking/excessive drinking/casual sex). Being able to laugh and have a sense of humor is a must. I really appreciate men who are compassionate to others, while being strong and dynamic. I also appreciate romance, since I am a romantic at heart--"hook-ups" are not for me! There are few qualities I find more appealing than communicating in an honest way, especially via phone or in person, since texting exclusively seems too sterile and detached for my tastes. I love the cliche--dinner and a movie--since I love to go to the movies! You usually don't get the chance to talk enough with that combo, though, so that might be better for a later date.We can try a new restaurant, then talk about how great or awful it was afterwards.
