About Me

First things first. Why did I join PoF? The answer is really simple. I work all the time. I’m the owner of my own company and therefore put in a crazy amount of hours. That, along with the fact that since all of my friends are married and no longer come out with me, I find it really difficult to meet new people. Yes, I’m that girl that goes to bars by herself. I’m a hard worker and I’m really passionate about what I do. I’m extremely laid back and absolutely hate drama. I’ve been single for the past three years (by choice) and really took that time to just date and get to know myself. During that time I started my company and have accomplished a lot of personal goals, but I’m ready to meet someone. I’m looking for a “best friend”. I know that sounds cliché, but I really believe that the best relationships are with someone that constantly makes you laugh. That knows you and accepts who you are. That pushes you to be the best person you can be. I want someone that I can laugh with, watch sports with (Go Giants!), travel with, and be adventurous with. I look for guys who are family oriented, hard working, and have their own set of personal goals. I really look for independence. I hate when guys try to change themselves to fit what they think I will like. You have your life, I have mine and we should somehow meet in the middle.; cat Tillie, and pizza (I could seriously eat it every day). I hate the gym. You can’t make me go. But, I stay fit by doing other things like walking, bike riding, and swimming. Work alone keeps me in shape. I love to read but never have time to do it. I really enjoy dancing, but you would laugh if you saw me do it. If you would like to get to know me, send me a message. I’d love to chat! My ideal first date is something short. Especially if it’s with someone I have never met before. I can usually tell pretty quickly if I feel we are a match, so there is really no need to prolong something if it’s not going to work. A few drinks at a bar is ideal. Now the second date is where things get fun! I really love doing things that are different. Once I played laser tag with someone, another time we went to an aquarium. I think you learn the most about someone when you take them out of their element or comfort zone. Basically, anything unique.

    My hope is that I can have a positive impact on at least one child that I work with. At home, I enjoy reading, watching television/movies, surfing the web, and taking naps. My TV and movie tastes are somewhat diverse. I also enjoy doing touristy things in the DC area, playing sports, walking around, and doing other silly/fun activities (mini-golf, bowling, etc.). It looks like it would be really fun to learn how to ballroom dance. In many ways, I think I am young at heart. I have a sometimes sarcastic, sometimes very cheesy/silly sense of humor, and I still love most things Charlie Brown. We try to visit when we can and talk often. I love dogs and would like to own one again someday. I like Top 40 music and and cheesy 80s power ballads. I sometimes even listen to classical music in the car. I will eat almost anything with chocolate. When I meet new people, I tend to be tongue-tied and shy. However, I do open up once I feel comfortable and get to know someone. I do not really have anything specific in mind. Since I am somewhat shy, I think it would be easiest to open up and get to know someone if we do a fun activity on the date. I'm open to suggestions, especially as I am still pretty new to the area and looking to explore what DC has to offer.

    I want someone who wants and likes me for me. I may not be the skinniest or prettiest girl out there, but at least I'm not a materialistic *itch. I'm really laid back and chill and usually just go with the flow. I can be quite indecisive, but when the mood strikes, I will know exactly what I want... I'm pretty sarcastic and sometimes a big smart ass. But I am, however, usually pretty easy to please. I like the simple things in life. I got out of a bad relationship a while back, in which I also gained a lot of weight, so I'm currently working my ass off to get rid of it and still have a way to go to be completely satisfied with myself. So, also, somebody who likes to stay active would be good for me. I need a little motivation.It would be nice to get flowers on a random day, or have dinner cooked for me every once in a while, and someone who genuinely cares how my day was... That's not too much to ask for is it?
