I am that "nice girl" you can take home to meet your parents. I am smart, witty, and I have a good head on my shoulders. I am genuinely interested in learning about people, but I can't get that from an *** profile. I read a lot, everything from best- (Except maybe sports; I don't even know how the Sox are doing this season ;).I like to keep fit by strapping on my running shoes and hitting a boot camp class. I get bored in the gym, but I've recently started working out with a personal trainer to keep me in line. It's exciting to see the changes in my body and in strength. When I'm not in the gym I like to get out and walk in the nice weather. I just like to hear the sound of the waves and smell the salt air. On a Friday night, you'll find me at a local, low key bar where there's live music and dancing. Or I might be in, curled up with a good movie and some homemade popcorn. I'm not a party girl, but I love music - though I'm not a music snob. Of all the songs on my iPod, a large percentage are from the 80's & 90's, everything from Abba to ZZ Top. There's angsty grunge rock and bubblegum pop. (Hey, I didn't say it was *good* music.)If you are looking for a woman who is honest, genuine, loving, thoughtful and true - you may have just found her. With me, you will always know where you stand; but if you're not quite sure, all you have to do is ask. I am not into games. I appreciate sincerity, and that's what you will always get from me.What kind of guy am I looking for? A guy who knows exactly what he wants and isn't afraid to go after it. A guy with a warm heart, who has solid family values and a good sense of humor. A guy like me who likes to cut through all of the games and take a chance on someone who feels right. If you're that kind of guy, I'd love to hear from you! One request - please have a photo. Unless you're a high-ranking government official, there's just no reason not to post your photo online. A first date for me is all about getting to know each other. Let's grab a drink or a meal someplace where we can talk a bit and share some laughs to feel out the chemistry.

I work hard and play hard. Travel is my drug, and I am always planning my next adventure. I thrive on new experiences, intelligent conversation, ceilidh, home improvements, food and drink, running, theater, sports... Ummm...it's actually easier to say what I'm not into. I do run, bike, and do yoga often. So, I am looking for someone who is active enough to keep up with me.I love food, and I'm open to trying new things. When I cook, I try to stay really healthy. I guess I should say I love flavor. I'm fascinated by how a different location changes the taste of a grape or whiskey. I really enjoy going to tastings and discussing the different flavor profiles. I'm looking for someone I can do that with. I do enjoy reading. My favorite author writes historical fiction, but I enjoy all genres and will read anything put in front of me., Damien Rice, etc. I feel like current music is mostly a rehash nobody's doing anything new right now. I'd love to have someone prove me wrong on that one. Movies...I like all kinds. I tend to watch particular actors *** genres - Shows - The Last Five Years, Into the Woods, Three Days of Rain, and Shakespeare. For both movies and shows I also like indie or things that push the envelope. As I've said, I love trying new things and have a long list of things to do - finish my SCUBA certification, learn to sail, try a triathlon, visit all 7 continents, finish visiting the 50 states... I'm a transplant, and I really enjoy it here. There's easy access to the ocean, mountains, NYC, DC, breweries, wineries, festivals, etc. one of my favorite things to do is drive down to VA, hit some wineries or breweries, go hiking & picnic in the Shenandoahs, then head home - maybe getting dinner or hitting one more winery on the way back.On another note, no offense intended at all, but please don't message me if you are under 34. Thanks!!
