Ready to laugh? Good. Me too. There's nothing like a good, can't catch your breath, side-splitting, tears-streaming-down-your-face laugh. Nothin'!! Let's see how badly our sides can hurt!I'm old-fashioned when it comes to women. That's the way I was brought up. I get the door for the lady, rise when she arrives/leaves the table, get the chair, just basic manners. I wonder where chivalry and those manners have gone nowadays?...I love to cook (when I have the time). Some favorite foods to cook and/or devour are seafood, pasta, Italian, Mexican. brats, burgers or salmon on the grill! Or throw in some Thai or Chinese take-out and some guilty pleasure TV! (that's my dog- We're a team!I'm grateful to have my health. About eight years ago, it was a coin-flip if I was still going to be around. Having said that, I'm still here! As for "No" drinking, it's just that I don't. Doesn't mean I can't make an AWE-some margarita or open a bottle of your favorite Merlot. I'm happy to oblige!I'm hoping to find someone who wants share their highest highs and their lowest lows. To me, that's what a true relationship is. There for the good times AND bad. How great would THAT be?...your best friend, your lover, your confidant...all rolled into the same person! That would be my ideal partner. Is that you? That is a good and bad thing. That's something we can discuss at a later time...When time permits (and it's a show I really want to do) I'm an actor and director and can occasionally be found on, or in front of, any number of local stages. I'm a hopeless romantic. What does that say about me? (other than I have strange tastes in music?E.M. to REO Speedwagon, Alison Krauss to Christina Aguilera, The Decemberists to the Doors, the list goes on...This is new and mostly awkward for me, so forgive me, I'm not used to describing my wants/desires/expectations in a public forum. Like you, perhaps, I've never HAD to write down my wants/desires/expectations in a public forum! But oh well, here it is, nonetheless. I am honest, trustworthy, completely loyal and respectful. Who's up for Starbucks, reading the Sunday paper, a bad (maybe even good) game of bowling, hitting the driving range, walks at Greenlake or Leschi with dogs (or not), holding hands, trying to keep warm at an outside sporting event, hot chocolate (heck, ANY chocolate!), weekend road trips, cuddling in front of a roaring fire (in the fireplace or a fire-pit, that is, not a blazing house fire or anything like that!), long, warm kisses, any of those interest you? Normal, hard working guy who wants a date that will go for long walks, dance, maybe golf. Get together in the kitchen and whip up good meals out of fresh food. The occasional movie in or movie out, maybe some live theater or some live music at some small venue. At this stage in life I just can't stand enormous, pressing crowds anymore. Trade back rubs. The one thing I don't want is too fall into a sedentary rut of work, food, sleep, television. I get outright depressed if I'm not active or productive in some fashion most of the time. I count on being active and a healthy diet to stay in shape. Gyms are just too freaking monotonous.Extra points for loving the water and boating. Extra Extra points if you know how to sail. I love almost all music, most notable exception being death metal. Favorite is probably classic Blues and rockabilly.I'm a modest man of modest means. I'd rather enjoy my health and the world *** spend all of my time maximizing my portfolio. That being said, i work pretty hard and pay all of my bills. I have extra respect women that are self sufficient. Intelligence and self confidence are very endearing traits, and if you "need" a man to feel secure and valid, It probably won't work out. If you "want" a man to share life's joys and tribulations with *** going it alone 100% of the time, I'd love to hear from you.After 8 years living on a boat I recently bought a house. I suppose I should add garage sales, thrift stores and swap meets to the list of fun activities. The occasional trip through Ikea for a meatball after looking for end tables as well ;-) I also want to get some raised bed vegetable gardens going next year. can't have enough Blueberries, Bell peppers and tomatoes. One reason I bought the place was the 800ft2 garage to have all the tools and workbenches a guy could ever want. I could share my shop space with the right person if they enjoyed doing projects in their spare time.Have I covered all of the bases? am I ambling erratically? Is my grammar and spelling sufficient to attract educated and intelligent women? I hope so, I'd hate to end up with a closet tea party member.That reminds me.
