About Me

Here we go again.....I am an independent woman. I have a very busy life. Work full time, single mom, and toying with the idea of taking online classes in order to get my masters degree. I have a young daughter that is my whole world. She lives with me most of the time and is not just part of the picture but "is" the picture so if you aren't comfortable with a child then don't waste your or my time. I have my own house and my own car, and although neither are very fancy, they are mine. I also have family responsibilities that keep me in this general geographic area so if you are not settled in this general area then once again don't waste either of our time. My last "deal-breaker" point has to do with religion. I'm no saint. Far from it. But I was raised in church and am active in it now. I attend most Sunday's and take part in various church activities and it is important to me. If you attend often or rarely, if you are religious or simply spiritual, then we are ok. If you are an atheist or agnostic then we are not a match. Been there, done that, didn't work. Now that all the general housekeeping is out of the way and I have explained why I might be a challenge for some, let me give you some good qualities so you don't think I"m a wicked witch or something. I have a very kind heart although I am very guarded. I have trust issues but it's not something that can't be worked through. I am honest and loyal and hardworking. I have been accused of being too good to the person I am with. I don't believe you can treat a person too good, that you just have to keep searching until you find one that will put you on a pedestal just as high as the one you have placed them on. I am affectionate and like a lot of attention. I am a little rough around the edges in general and have a sarcastic sense of humor but I can be refined and will fit in perfectly in most situations. I like to have fun and enjoy life. It's way too short to be too serious. I love to have my toes in the sand at the beach and hiking to waterfalls in the mountains. I love dressing up for fancy dinners and hanging out by a bonfire in jeans and a sweatshirt. Anyway, this brief introduction just scratches the surface. Feel free to message me if you are interested in knowing more.As far as what I'm looking for that is a whole other story. I am looking for that "spark". You know what I'm talking about. I want someone who I can't wait to spend time with. Someone I want to hold hands with if we are out and about. Someone to snuggle up with on the sofa and share some wine while watching a movie. Someone I can take a long road trip with and not run out of things to say, but who I can be comfortable with just riding in silence and holding hands. Someone to share life's moments with and build a strong relationship from them. Someone to make memories with. I haven't found that yet. I've settled for less over the years and I'm not settling for anything less than I want anymore. I want a man's man. A real tough guy that has a softer side too. Someone who makes me feel safe. Someone who is honest and faithful. Someone who is way more romantic than me :-) Guess I'm looking for a fairy tale. Problem is experience has made me believe they don't exist. So I need someone who is going to prove me wrong about that day after day after day.....
