Hello and thanks for checking out my profile. One thing I've figured out over that time is that this entire area pretty much shuts down for the winter. I'm hoping to meet some lovely ladies from the area that would be interested in spending time together and beating the winter doldrums down here.Some of my favorite places down here (that stay open through the winter) are Captain Georges on game days and Trio just about any time. Goombays is my favorite place for dinner but gotta wait til next Spring before I get to go back there again. I grew up in the south and decided I wanted to find a place where southern efficiency meets northern hospitality. So here I am. Now, I've been in the area long enough to call it home and really love it. I am most comfortable around the water and like the mountains as well. I love to travel and work gives me the opportunity to visit places both in and out of the US. I am a positive person, glass half full, and take life as it comes. I have a degree in engineering, but I do hide my geeky side! I can plan when needed but prefer to be more spontaneous. I certainly want what everyone wants. To find someone to share my life with. Someone who I can be transparent with and knows me for all the good and bad.... I'm not into games. I'm not necessarily looking to get serious right away. Honestly, I probably should take it real slow. But ultimately I do want someone to share life with. Someone who knows I have their back and I know they have mine. Everyone has one, will you love me, even with my dark side?.... Relationships are so important to me! I really do love people - at least I try and love them. I fail every day.... but I get back up and keep going. If you've seen my pics you know I've gotten into fitness. Two years ago I was almost embarrassed to tell people I went to the U.S. Naval Academy. I was out of shape and pretty heavy. Since then I've lost about 50 pounds and went from not being able to run a mile without stopping, to now having finished 6 triathlons and three marathons. Running and Biking have been a great escape for me. It's not about how fast I go, but it's about enjoying the journey! I really love just getting out on the open road, and a nice view is a plus! I'd like to get into hiking and mountain biking, but need to find someone to do them with ;-) Well, I'm kind of rambling.... If you're interested drop me a note. I understand physical attraction is important, at least initially, then you can really get to know someone to find out if there is any chemistry.
