Please take my heart, but handle with care..My love is one to treasure, when you've known nothing but despair.These tears I shed, like raindrops falling down...Are the gifts of my inner strength, I wear them as my crown.For I to know pain, in all its sharp edges...I've stood alone and wanted to jump, off of life's worn out ledges.I no longer mask my hurt, behind an empty smile...For I have traveled my distance, I have walked every mile.I do not bring to you half of me, though I had once been broken...I wear my scars proudly, life's little token.For now I will stop, and let you read apart of me...and perhaps one day, my love shall set you free....This is just a piece of one of my poems. I love to write. I am a single mother, to a beautiful little girl. I am her only living parent. I love music, and sometimes the music is a catalyst for my poems. I am attending school online right now. I am working towards my bachelors degree in criminal justice, and I am specializing in homeland security and crisis management. I'm not into people who want to play mind games. I'm not into those who feel the need to put others down. I'm not into judgmental people as well. I have already had enough of that to last a lifetime!
