Laughing is probably my favourite thing to do. Seriously, I laugh a lot. I find humour, albeit dark at times, in almost every situation. Unless I'm tired and hungry. That's a bad combo for me so if we're out and I stop laughing get some food for me! I like genuine, sincere humour not shock value craziness (like Lisa Lampanelli stuff, yuck) and I enjoy trying new things even if I'm nervous. I love yoga although I don't go nearly as often as I would like. The studio I go to is great because the *** pretty easy going and they like to have fun in the class so it's always a giggle fest as I topple over trying some balancing move. I can be a bit clumsy as well so random bruises tend to pop up on me....oh well!I want to date a man that is confident in himself and knows how to treat a lady. I may not always act like a lady but I know I want to be treated like one! Just like I'd treat my guy like the man he is. Simple mannerisms and proper courting have gone by the way side and I'd like to see them make a come back. The words "please" and "thank you" go a long way. As does holding a door open, planning the dates and creative romantic surprises (no this does not mean put yourself in debt just to impress. In fact you get more points if it's not crazy expensive but equally impressive.I value tactful honesty and direct communication along with hugs :) Huge points for being able to get my coffee/tea just right. I think a relationship is about nurturing and taking care of one another in a way that respects your partner and allows them to grow as they need to. I'm a modern gal with some traditional views (see above about courting and manners)I Look forward to meeting you :) Start casual as a first meeting. Fun is the key to getting my attention.As far as what I'm looking for, I think setting a specific relationship goal is the fastest way to disappointment. I'm charmed by the risk-taker guy who has the confidence to just let it flow and go where it will go and not really worry about it. You could meet someone who could become a great friend, but you want a relationship so bad that it starts off on the wrong foot, and that leads to unforeseen problems later in the friendship. Or, you could start off trying to be just friends and then later it would be awkward or risky to the friendship to suggest something more. So, I try to see what naturally develops with each particular person I meet rather than wanting something specific ahead of time and then trying to make the person fit that idea.I care tons and tons about finding a balance between the fun, adventurous, wild side of myself (arguably the Italian side) and the other intellectual side of myself (maybe that's the French Canadian side). I basically look for people who can pull both of these things off at the same time or who are interested in someone with both those sides. I'll be in Beirut Aug. ***Aug. 26. The plan is for the beach clubs/resorts and nightlife. If it's not your thing, then lunch and walking the city!
