I enjoy life ... I love to travel, and have traveled extensively for all of my adult life.- and I enjoy watching a good series on Netflix with a glass or two of good wine. I've always been athletic, currently I'm trying to fit my Power Vinyasa Yoga and Overload weight training into my extremely busy schedule. I've been a runner, a boot camp ***, and a competition swimmer. I love the ocean, the mountains, and my children .. both my 30 year old son and 11 year old daughter. They make everything worthwhile and I think that family is so important. I'm a rocker at heart- never missed a Stones tour since I was 14. I believe in God, and have raised my children to be believe and know that there is something bigger and better than us. When I was younger, I dated a Jewish guy that I adored- until he asked me to convert- and have many dear friends that are Buddhist and Jewish. I don't judge anyone- as I said, I'm no angel, and only decide what I can and can't accept as part of my life. I've owned a successful travel business for 15 years, and I've let go when I needed to.- professionally done, and who knows? Might get a tiny diamond dermal on my cheekbone. I'm a hard worker when I need to be, but I LOVE to laugh and be with someone who can make me do so. My humor is definitely on the dry, sarcastic side, and I'm looking for someone who has lived life enough to appreciate it. I'm deep in so many ways, have been through so many "living on the edge" things that have formed the person that I am today - unique is putting it mildly. My ideal pet is a wolf - I'm intelligent, attractive, and do not look anywhere near my age.- destination as yet undecided - in the next couple of years. Why am I on this site? Because I would love to find the guy I've looked for forever, and I've been in enough bars and gyms to know that he's not to be found there. I'm recently divorced after 16 years - people change, and grow apart - no blame, just the facts. I didn't expect to ever get divorced when we were married- but I've found that life is full of the unexpected. You learn and grow stronger from experience, or you quit. Quit is not a word in my vocabulary. I'm looking for a man, not a child in a man's body. A strong man, because I'm a strong woman. Are there any out there???? A trick question - I suppose it would depend on the time of year. Honestly, it's been so long since I've "dated" - it would depend on alot on the person I was dating. I love to be surprised, and would enjoy someone imaginative enough to decide what that might be. Dinner and a movie? Probably not. Anything that would allow us to be ourselves and comfortable, because first dates- as I recall - are sometimes awkward. I remember trying to eat a taco in a polite, tactful way - not fun, and embarrassing. I'm very self aware & self confident, and yet something in me has always responed to a man who is able to take control - without really taking control. I'm quite my own person, and rebel at being told what to do. It's all in the approach at the end of the day - for the right man, I could be the elusive woman you've always wanted. Show me.

But true old-fashioned values, and an understanding of the dynamic between a man and a woman and the roles each has in a relationship, is the most appealing trait of all. I long to feel safe, secure, and someday, loved...to be held in the arms of a man I'm proud of (and who's proud of me), and who makes me want to be nowhere else in the world but there. He smiles to himself when we're apart, simply because I make him happy...I'm his special girl. He holds my vulnerability gently in his hands, and allows me to be myself...encourages it. He cherishes me. And I will cherish him. Would love to find the captivating man described above. Could it be you? Good conversationalist a must. Spark my intellect! I'm an affectionate gal too, once I'm comfortable. And I happen to think a great sense of humor is a darn sexy thing for a man to have. And just so you know...I'm aaaaaall woman. Boating, sailing, hopping onto a jet ski or motorcycle (back of the bike only, thankyouverymuch) are pastimes I can't get enough of. On a lazy day I'll sit outside and get engrossed in a book or my sketch pad. (Being tucked up beside you, as we laze in the sun, would be a perfect way to spend the day.) Skeet shooting, swimming and dancing are things I like to do. I'm an intermediate-level snow skier with a NAUI dive card (what a combo). And after a couple of glasses of "aiming fluid", I can shoot a pretty mean game of pool too. (Oh yeah...and I like to shop. I'm a girl. Its what we do.)Small casual gatherings are the BEST kind. (LOVE my shorts and flip flops) Old friends and new, a couple of "adult beverages" thrown in for good measure...life's "aaah" moments. Getting dressed up to go out is fun too. (Have waaay too many sexy heels to let 'em sit and collect dust.) I think hosting parties at home is even better than attending them elsewhere. (Okay, I just might root a little harder for the 'Noles...) Road trips...love 'em. Planned or spontaneous...with a destination in mind or just following the road ahead...doesn't matter. I've embraced a new way of looking at life, after starting fresh and shiny-new. Living IN the moment is the most important thing for me. Life doesn't start later, tomorrow, next week...its what we're doing RIGHT NOW...and I've been making the most of it. Something else you might want to know 'bout me (and I'm giving you fair warning), I enjoy being challenged, and I hope you do too...'cause I CAN be a handful. I'm willful and sassy, and playful and fun. I spend most of my days with a big ol' smile on my face, and I'll keep one on yours as long as we're open to each other. (But I'll bet you'll want to chase me around the kitchen island a time or two...its that dang sassy thing.)I have two GREAT kids. My daughter is 23, proudly married to a soldier, and gave birth to my very first grandchild in ***. (She's the one who convinced me to give this crazy site a try, by the way.) My son is 20, is also in the Army, and married his high school sweetheart earlier this year. (Hoo-ah! I'm a proud mama.)Oh, and one more thing, in case you're still interested: I was a commissioned officer in the US Army. (yes, really). That's it...that's me in a five minute read. Soooo...what are you waiting for? Something as simple as meeting for a drink and a chat to see if there is a spark between us would be an ideal first meeting. A nice relaxing spot, preferably outside (weather permitting) would suit me just fine. A game of pool or shooting darts would be fun too. No matter what...if its easy to converse, if we look directly into each other's eyes as we do, if a giggle or ten erupts during our exchange, I'd say yes to spending more time getting to know you better...if you agreed. (And if I flirt with you during our first meeting, trust me, you're golden.) Second date? ...bring a crash helmet...
