Two gentlemen in a row that I went out with for a month or two came to the same conclusion. They felt I was "not really interested in them." They were introduced to my family, friends and one I even brought to my church. Just because an intelligent, classy woman does not jump in bed with you right away does not mean she is not interested. (Unless all she was interested in was sex.) I am old fashioned. I do expect the man to court the woman. That doesn't mean I sit on a pedistal and do nothing. However, things must start as a friendship and grow from there. As long as respect and affection is there, love and all the rest will come. I'm very independent and resourceful but prefer a "take charge" guy. PS - Please be child and pet tolerant. A drink is always easy or perhaps a cup of coffee somewhere.
