I enjoy doing things outdoors, whether it's grilling and hanging with friends or, going for walks on a beautiful day or night, & down time at the lake, I like to travel, I love to read, go to movies, I love to laugh & have a good time, meeting new people & spending time with friends, just being socialable, I like the arts and plays, I like weekend getaways, I love animals. Spending time with the man in my life. After reading this, I decided that for some, these first date ideas actually sound more like 2nd or 3rd dates....so with that said, please don't think I expect a lot on a first date...but, initially this is what I thought of...no pressure though, okay?!.. As long as we are both comfortable & able to talk w/o having to yell! :-) dinner and drinks(or no drinks) someplace at the Power & Light area &.. maybe go for a gondola ride :-) It really doesn't matter..what i described is nice but, Starbucks or Panera Bread is good, too..what's your idea for a first date?

    Where on earth has the time gone? I sure don't feel 53 and definitely don't look or act it. I guess that's because I have 2 amazing kids that keep me young! My son is 21 & daughter is 17 and as they are preparing to leave the nest, I am finding myself more & more alone. I very much enjoy my time to myself (it's good for the soul), but I sure would like someone to share the last half of my life with. A glass or 2 of wine or a couple ice cold beers is fine on occasion as long as you're not driving. A few definite no's with me are violence, jealousy and no controlling issues. I enjoy being at home. I'm really just a down to earth woman looking for the same in a man. PS......I'm not interested in your Harley. If you have a Harley, that's fine. I just don't want to ride. Probably a short dinner or meeting of some sort, so we are not committed to spend a huge amount of time together on the first meeting. I don't want to meet for coffee - don't drink it. Just an informal dinner to begin with would be nice.
