Hi... I work as a computer programmer and while I enjoy it very much, I'm more focused on my time-off. I enjoy going to a good concert, spending a day in NYC or any city for that matter, going for walks, taking in a movie, trying to play tennis without looking totally stupid, strolling a beach boardwalk and just hanging out doing nothing. I would like to do some more world traveling in the future. (I need someone fun to go with though!). I'm pretty easy going and really try to make the best of any given situation. I feel it's more important who you are with than what you are doing. So yes, I can sit through Ironman if we're holding hands and be very happy :-). I tend to see the humor in most things and work at becoming a full-fledged grownup someday. I guess my friends would describe me thoughtful, caring, honest to a tee, true to my word and generous. I have 2 grown children who live out of state and judging from their successes, I've done a pretty good job I think. I have a little dog and a cat that co-exist. Jake, my dog, loves her (and everyone really), but she gets him in a headlock often to show who is boss. Now onto you....The man I hope to find would be intelligent, playful, humorous, and would turn out to be my best friend for life. Oh to think that could actually happen right here on POF! Sigh.....Honesty, trust and respect are foremost. If you aren't honest, there's no trust or respect. I have no interest in arrogance and playing head games with anyone. I hope to find someone who isn't addicted to this dating site and is serious about meeting the "right" one. Godsmack was a very surprising experience and would LOVE to see them again, only closer to the stage! I can talk music all day and relate any classic rock song to any particular point in my life. I also appreciate a good blues or jazz band. I would definitely be up for a classical music concert as well. I love to sing along loudly and dance! Music to me is part of my soul. I can go days without watching TV but a day without music is like not being able to breathe!Not a hair, nails, makeup, shoes, clothes horse, designer type. I live simply and dress casually. I do clean up well and don't have a problem doing that when the occasion calls for it. Meetings in a public place. Coffee, tea, beer, mixed drinks, food, conversation, music. I guess I should elaborate on this a bit. I really am looking for a life partner, friend, soulmate, confidante, lover, etc, etc. I'm not looking to jump into sex and would prefer to take things slow. Friends first for ultimately if your are not friends what's the point?? And if we should meet and wind up just being friends that's great! If you want to chat please be respectful!
