I think a great first date would include dinner or maybe going for coffee, and something other than going to a movie. It'd be nice to do something outside, like go for a walk somewhere niether person has been, or just find a place to hang out and listen to some live music. Even go out and shoot pool (I'm terrible at it by the way) -it wouldn't matter, so long as we could have a chance to talk and get to know one another. The ultimate first date would have two people who barely knew one another at the beginning of the day become friends.
