Im 38 and a mother to a beautiful spunky 11 yr. old girl. Im a total riverrat- I love hockey (Go Kings Go!(Thank God for annual passes!) I am also a police volunteer, and do that whenever my schedule allows it. I love my life, the direction its gone, and the paths Ive followed to get here. Without faith and determination, I couldve never acomplished all that I have. Ive learned the true value of love and friendship. Ive finally gotten to where I want and NEED to be. You are in charge of your life, so start living it!

I feel like I'm the best me I've ever been.... I'm working hard to keep learning and moving forward - welcoming change does not come naturally to me but vast changes in the past couple years have been extremely positive for me - and I brought them all on myself :). I'm achieved a lot of what I wanted, and I'm content with myself and my life, would be great to share it with someone :). I don't believe in perfect people, just people who are good for each other, bring out each others' best selves. Here's a little bit about me: I'm pretty open and diverse - I can relate to all sorts of people. That diversity also applies to my tastes in music - although not much into rap or metal - been a bit addicted to Fleet Foxes lately, and my tastes can include stuff like The Tragically Hip, Iron and Wine, The Decemberists, INXS, Jethro Tull, and The Be Good Tanyas (etc...). Loud, great music really can be exhilarating and therapeutic. I like live performances of different sorts, including music, dance, theatre, etc, but at my core I'm a homebody and pretty comfortable in my own company. I'm the type who has a smaller circle of close friends *** a large group of casual acquaintances - this allows me to be really engaged with those I'm close to.I like reading ... I just finished Daring Greatly by Brene Brown and currently working through a few other things - struggling to commit to my book club book lately - totally possessive of my free time :). Clever and politically incorrect stuff makes me laugh, I can't help it :) -My friends and family are important to me, and they're a supportive, accepting bunch. I can be reserved and quiet sometimes. I can also talk your ear off :). I've got a good sense of humour. I'm not religious. I like to cook and I'm pretty good at it. I'm on a bit of a kick with eating healthier and more naturally and getting more physically fit - I still have a ways to go, but I won't make changes I'm not prepared to live with for the long haul so it can be a slower process - but that also means it will last. I have a great job and don't expect to depend on a partner financially - nor do I expect you to. I would like to travel more in the next few years and see more of this amazing world, likely not within the confines of a resort for the most part. I would like to continue to break out of my comfort zone and redefine myself.Despite my practicality, I'm also a romantic - and I'm surprising once you break through my shell. :)I'd like to meet new people, see who's out there. However, here's a bit about the right man for me in the long run: You're a person who knows himself and has some goals for the future, whatever they may be, and a lifestyle that can both mesh with mine but also introduce me to new possibilities. I don't need someone who shares my views on everything, but I think it helps if the basic worldviews are somewhat similar (regarding humanity, spirituality etc). You're open-minded.You're comfortable with me having both a strong self and a vulnerable self. (Sometimes I want to "take care of", and sometimes I want to be taken care of.)If you have children, they are your top priority, over relationships, etc. This also means limited crap with the ex LOL.I try to avoid unnecessary drama - I believe in a collaborative approach to conflict, which inevitably happens. If you're unable to talk things out somewhat calmly, or need to be right all the time, or avoid conflict altogether, or like to pick fights because you're bored, we'd probably have a difficult time. Passion can be found elsewhere in a relationship :)That's enough for now I guess. Ask me more if you're *** Meeting up for drinks and appetizers maybe?Coffee dates are perfect too..

Where to start ..... I guess ill start by saying I'm only here to find friends to talk to right now I'm going through a divorce and its causing a lot of problems to go on in my life right now. So I prefer not to drag anyone else into it. So for right now I'm leaving it as talking to friends. A little about me, I have been in college for 8 years, I have a Bach. degree in criminal justice and an Assoc. in early childhood and an Assoc. in psychology. I have three beautiful children and a step son that I adore with all my heart, I love movies, reading, writing poetry, art (oil paint canvas and charcoal on canvas), I love all music, hanging out and making new friends, I write children's books and poetry books. I have a project that I have been doing since ***and its my life along with my kids, I help soldiers that don't have families to go home to, has duty or deployed during the holidays, I helped ***soldiers last year alone. Since I also have a degree in psychology I also help them with that.
