I am passionate about Animal rights even though I cannot bring myself to become a vegetarian, which is something I am not proud of. I love my dogs (Chip &I come with no baggage, no previous marriages or kids. In fact, I am pretty boring when it comes to history and you would get change using one hand :) I am a mellow person, I am afraid if your the kind of person who likes to recreate a scene from Eastenders, your not the person for me, life / work is stressful enough with out having stress at home. Maybe that I have been in the same job for so long says 'I lack ambition' but seriously there is more to life than money. Second dates can be a little bit more exciting, maybe a sporting event or maybe watching a live band...... Date 14 a Spa weekend in the lake district.. Date 31 weekend away in somewhere romantic... Enjoy both playing and listening to music. been very much into hard rock/heavy metal for a long time but friends have introduced me to other types of music recently which has opened up a whole new listening experience.I love swimming, especially snorkelling with my youngest daughter (who encourages me to go in the sea when its way too cold). I enjoy cycling, at a social pace rather than racing although my son does put me through my paces when we go out.Into trying different foods, both cooking myself and dining out although I have to confess to not understanding vegetarian food.I have a keen interest in buildings and architecture - hence the geek tab.very happy socialising, quizzing, live music but equally content with a good book and a warm fire.Lets Change the Weather - just because its raining doesn't mean we cant make it feel like the sun is shinning. Meet up for a tea or coffee, social stroll along a beach/park. Something casual to chat and get to know each other better.

I Have recently resumed fishing after a bit of a break and don't I now regret having deleted my old profile?!?!Briefly; I'm a single bloke who having spent over 10years as a single parent of a now mid-teenage boy suddenly find my self with the previously rare commodity of free time and begrudge my son having a better social life than I do! :-) that said I couldn't keep up with him if I wanted to. My clubbing days are numbered and pubs and restaurants are my preference.To burn off a few calories I wouldn't mind donning a pair of boots and trying a bit of light-weight hiking if anyone fancys joining me.Ideally I'm looking for a long term relationship but don't have many rule-in/rule-out criteria so feel free to msg me and see just how much or hw little we av in common.
