Family is important, but my sense of family extends beyond those who share my DNA to the people in my life who step up to the plate for me when required, who I trust have my back when it counts, and for whom I do the same. More of a morning person, though not obnoxiously so...don't like the cold, but will make the best of a rainy day...TV doesn't take much priority for me, but love a good movie - a great book even more so. Would love to connect with someone with a similar intention to infuse joy whenever and wherever possible, with a clear sense of what they want to create in life. Certainly not without our imperfections, (that is, after all, what makes us real and loveable) yet we are committed to mimizing the drama and chaos, maximize fun on a regular basis, and agree that games are for whiling away the rainy afternoons. We don't just give lip service to ideas of respect, honesty, and integrity, but come to relationships expecting to be held accountable and authentic...and would do nothing less than hold each other the same way. You 'get it' when I say that it's not about the stuff we have, but the passion we share...simple as that...and can't help but get excited about the future we're creating as "that couple". A friend of mine invited me to go to a party with him. I said "Sure!" and he said "Can you try not to look so granola?". I rarely dress up, and if I do it is tasteful and modest. No high-heels, no cleavage revealed! I'm just a casual woman, and don't wear much makeup.I am honest to a fault. I am blunt. But I always have the best intentions! I like science-fiction and some fantasy too, and naturally comedies. I like 90's alternative rock. The eighties were goofy with a few classics. I like classic rock from the seventies and even some sixties music (it appeals to the hippie in me!). I can skip the country. I like classical music, and I have tried to find quality contemporary music on the radio. Maybe a few songs... I used to see so many concerts.I am an atheist. I have no issue with anyone else's choice of religion, just as long as they don't try to convert me. I prefer to use the scientific method to determine what I believe.I am a Licensed Veterinary Technician and I pet-sit often. I work with domestic pets (and the occasional exotic pet or any hurt, helpless wild animals I come across...). My education includes a B.S. in biology from UNLV with a minor in psychology. I am not modest when revealing that I am a highly intelligent person and I have a gift with animals. I am about everything else. I tend to follow the Golden Rule.
