About Me

Life needs to be truly celebrated, and I try to do that in all ways possible. There are lots of things I'm passionate about, but all you really need to know is my son is #1 in my life... music, friends and family are tied for second, good food & good wine, and career is definitely in there somewhere. I'm pretty well-travelled, have lived in many places, and lean to the far left on all things political and social- not afraid to debate but don't ever think you can change my POV, and to be honest, as open-minded as I am, I'd prefer someone with the same left- I also think religion is the opiate of the masses and a detriment to society! I don't feel guilty for celebrating life, but I believe everyone deserves to celebrate it, and I try to help others when I can. I've so far had an interesting time on this earth with amazing experiences; it's how I've developed such independence and strength. I'm self-sufficient and don't "need" a man, but wouldn't mind sharing some of life's experiences with the right person because I'm human and we're made to couple (most of us). Open and unhindered communication is essential with me, as well as a sense of humor and some good house music (if you don't know what that is, I'll pass). I try to be considerate of your time and space, as long as you respect mine and know that nothing is more important than raising a child in a stable, safe and loving home. Tattoos are a bonus. I'm also not offended by killer abs.***update*** After being active on here for a couple of weeks, I have received messages from some of you attacking some of my interests... Look, it's real simple. If you don't like it, why bother wasting your energy telling me you don't like it? Just move along. And, don't ask dumb questions like, "Are you really a Marxist?". Just because I have an interest in Marxism doesn't make me a Marxist (news flash, I live in the USA, a capitalist society). I'm also interested in Native American culture. But that doesn't make me a Native American. I'm interested in neuroscience, too. Doesn't make me a neuroscientist. Cop on people. I don't respond to stupid questions or hateful ***, and have a nice day.

I am a fun classy lady. I love my family and friends. I am kind hearted and not into games. Honesty is a must no matter what.My brother was recently diagnosed with cancer. I had a goal to raise money to help his fight. I rescued my goal and I let him shave my head. If you have pictures of your children or grandchildren on your profile do not contact me. They have no business being exploited on your dating site. Protect them.

Nice to meet you!I'm a friendly, loyal and positive woman that can have fun in any situation... dressing up or down is fine with me. I don't have many stipulations; I'd just like to meet someone nice that can make me laugh. I am in no hurry to just settle, but it wil be nice find that special guy to share lifes adventures with.I enjoy the simple things in life. I am easy to get along with and like to have fun. Everything happens for a reason. My friends say that I am caring, understanding, open-minded and sweet. Life is short enjoy every minute of it. I also enjoy all types of sports and like to stay active. I listen to a variety of music, and enjoy live bands, whether it is at a concert or at a tiki bar. I'm adventurous... I might even try skydiving if it's with the right guy... maybe it's you!Happy fishing... Don't be shy, say hi... want to know anything, just ask.I've learned that, no matter what happens, how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow. I've learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles four things: a rainy day,the elderly, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights. I've learned that making a 'living' is not the same thing as making a 'life.' I've learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance. I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both hands. You need to be able to throw something back sometimes. I've learned that if you pursue happiness, it will elude you. But, if you focus on your family, your friends, the needs of others, your work and doing the very best you can, happiness will find you.I've learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision. I've learned that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one. I've learned that every day, you should reach out and touch someone. People love that human touch -- holding hands, a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back. I've learned that I still have a lot to learn. Meet for lunch or maybe a drink. Somewhere that you are able to have a conversation and feel relaxed. Open to suggestions...
