I'm going to start off on a serious note. I have a very balanced, simple life by choice. I've been told that I'm better on my worst day than most women are on their best day so if you're looking for a woman with a good head on her shoulders, you will probably be pleasantly surprised.Making other people happy makes me very happy. I am a caregiver. 'Needy' is not in my vocabulary, although 'lovable' definitely is. I am very good at creative problem solving, know how to hold a good conversation and can be very serious when need be, then in the next be silly as can be. I'm not going to try to oversell myself. I would like to date and discover things slowly and enjoy getting to know someone. Taking the next step after dating would be something I am open to. Space is very important to me and I cannot be put in a box. I would like a companion to get out and do things with, perhaps an intimate jazz club, even comedy night at a local hole in the wall. Currently, I am working on the illustrations for my first children's book having to do with invisible disabilities. I always have several projects going on at a time. I would love to find someone who can lead or be willing to learn salsa. I don't want to be rude in any way, but I would prefer to go out with an African-American man. Doing what is 'right' is of major importance to me, along with strength, integrity and wisdom. That will suffice for now ... and I will share more personal things about me as time goes on. I promise. And I have absolutely no problem forwarding more pictures :) 'First Date' doesn't sit quite right with me. I would prefer meeting at the park, talking, maybe even kick our feet on the swing set. I'm a realist. I refuse to type in this little box, "we can go to dinner, see a movie, take a walk on the beach ...."
